MediaTek Aims to Enhance its Global Market Penetration
Dec. 14, 2010 - MediaTek Inc., a leading fabless semiconductor company for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions today announced that along with the CMAI association it will co-host the “India-China Sourcing Mobile Fair 2010” in New Delhi on Dec 15th and 16th. MediaTek will demonstrate its latest communication technologies and innovative smart phone, 3G and multimedia solutions.
According to a recent Gartner survey, major handset manufacturers view India as a very attractive investment because it is projected to have the most rapid growth of mobile users worldwide – 660 million mobile users in India by end of 2010. As the exclusive event co-organizer, MediaTek will emphasize not only its strong commitment to the India market, but also its leading position accumulated by continuous efforts of delivering the best service and wireless platform solutions to local customers. MediaTek will showcase a series of handsets based on MediaTek’s latest single chip- MT6253, and a customized Android platform for India market that features many extremely popular applications including online games such as Acorn Mafia, Mini Map and Navigation.
