MediaTek Announces World's Smallest Single-stream 802.11n Wi-Fi Solution for Mobile Devices

The MediaTek MT5931 integrates 802.11n Wi-Fi MAC, baseband, radio, embedded CPU, and power management unit on a single chip with extremely compact size and power efficiencies, making it best solution to meet the growing high-speed connectivity demand among a wide range of mobile or portable devices.
The MediaTek MT5931 single chip SoC, measuring less than 9mm^2 in chip scale package, further integrates PA, LNA, and T/R switch on chip, making it ideal for applications seeking compact design with only few external components. Advanced Wi-Fi features like STBC, Wi-Fi Direct, and hot spot mode are fully supported for meeting the dynamic changes in Wi-Fi infrastructures to provide superior user experience.
